There are three types of nickel deposits in the world: copper sulfide nickel deposits, laterite ore and weathering shell nickel silicate deposits, of which laterite and nickel silicate mines accounting for three-quarters of the total reserves. Although nickel extraction from nickel oxide is becoming more and more important, nickel sulfide ore still remains an important source of nickel for several years to come.
A、Copper-monosulfied-nickel ore: The method of beneficiation of copper-monosulfied-nickel ore is mainly flotation, and magnetic separation with gravity separation as a supplement. The common processes are as follows: mixed flotation process, mixed-separation flotation process, direct priority flotation process, flotation-magnetic separation combined process, high-ice nickel magnetic separation-flotation separation process.
B、Nickel oxide ore: The development and utilization of nickel oxide ore mainly focus on laterite nickel ore. The treatment process of laterite nickel ore is mainly composed of three methods: pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy and metallurgy.
