Mining engineering is based on detailed site investigation. So before the commencement of the project, Gocom Engineering Design Co., Ltd has to make an overall site investigation. In the process the sectors such as geology, mining, mineral processing, smelting, mechanic, construction, electricity power, are interacting with each other and make a full pack of all the works.

Preparatory Work of Design
1.Preparation of the project proposal, which is the initial stage work in the basic construction procedure and the grounding for preliminary decision making.
2.Feasibility study of the project, which proves whether the project is technologically and economically feasible and gives basis information that the client can rely on in the process of making decision.
3.Location of the site, which strictly follows the national policies in industrial construction and fits the requirements of long-term development, in regard to industry, production and life.
Preliminary Design and Construction Drawing Design Phase
The scope of work: the extent of construction, working system, process design, main equipment and model, auxiliary equipment and facility, general layout of the site and internal & external transportation, water supply and drainage, power, telecommunication & automation instrument, ventilation, dedusting & thermal engineering, manpower quota, economic effect estimation and environmental and safety measures.

Construction Drawing Design
In this phase the problems in the Preliminary Design are corrected or modified, which involves detailed geological survey information on terrain, hydrology and engineering, order confirmation of main equipment, water supply, power supply and external transportation. All the branches of mining and mineral processing are involved with detailed and a great deal of drawings.
Coordination with Construction and Trail Production
In this phase, we inform the mine developer and construction contractor of the goal of the design, explain the design documents to the relevant parties, resolve the design related problems that have occurred in the construction, supervise the construction quality, take part in hand over of the construction and trial operation and deal with the remaining problems.

Mining: We have studied mining technology and mining equipment and developed One Type Caving followed by Backfilling mining method. By adopting this method, the mining and stripping is simplified, quantity of works decreased, caving efficiency increased, mining capacity boosted, dilution rate lowered and personnel and equipment safety raised. This technology has been applied in Anhui Jin’an Caolou Iron Mine and Huibaoling Iron Mine of Linkuang Group. For the successful application, this method has won national invention patent.
One Type Caving followed by Backfilling
Mineral Processing: The quality of iron ore resources in our country is relatively low and most of them are diluted ones and complex ones. In Zhangjiakou-Chengde Area of Hebei province, there are over 5.5 billion tons of vanadium-titanium magnetite. In order to reach the goal of reducing the mineral processing cost, we have proposed the processing technologies such as Multi-section Dry Separation, High Pressure Roller Grinding (HPRG) Super Fine, Pre-selection before Grinding, Fine Screen Classification, Stage Grinding, Stage Magnetic Separation, Tailings Recovery and etc. The result indicates that the ultra-low grade magnetite has a higher mining and economic value.
In the field of nonferrous mine design, the scope of our profession covers copper, lead, zinc, nickel, tungsten, tin, molybdenum, cobalt, gold, silver, aluminum and etc. In mineral processing and recovery of complex polymetallic ores, low-grade ores and refractory ores, we designed Large Flotation Technology, Gravity Concentration + Flotation Technology and Combined Technique of Processing and Metallurgy, which have promoted the development of nonferrous mineral processing.
Tailings: In traditional tailings dumping method, there is the risk of dam break and landslide. Meanwhile the sitting of the new tailings pond is a difficult task. Considering the said difficulties, we have proposed the One Type Tailings Wet Discharge Consolidation Method, which improves the safety and stability of the accumulation slope and reduces the pollution to the underground water and surface water. This technology has won the national invention patent. Presently our tailings profession has 3 patented inventions, 7 patents for utility models and 3 patented inventions to be published.
Backfilling: We mainly recommend the cemented fill of highly density unsized tailings. In the preparation of aggregates, the advanced thickening technique is adopted in thickening the tailings slurry. The cementing material is selected according to the different tailings properties and cement-sand ratio is determined based on the backfilling test result. In the design of the technique, the actual condition of the site is fully considered and it is always our goal to give our customers a reliable, practical and economic design plan. We have taken part in the construction of the backfilling plants of Wuyang Iron Mine of Henan Angang Group, Xiadian Gold Mine, Canzhuang Gold Mine, Yingezhuang Gold Mine of Zhaojin Group, Laixi Mining of Shanjin Group, Xiaguanzhuang Iron Mine and Gangli Iron Mine, Luzhong Mining of Wukuang Group, Huibaoling Iron Mine (2nd Phase) of Linkuang Group and Jinshan Gold Mine of Zhongjin Group.
